I love ice! I even buy ice at Sonic because I love the little cubes! Sonic ice is a staple at any party we have -

I like lots of ice in a cocktail, but for just drinking water or koolaid or tea that’s already refrigerated, i dont need that much.

At the time I bought mine, it was too new for any reviews to be out. It was SO PRETTY that I bought it anyway. It’s been a good refrigerator, except for the water/ice maker leakage.

A couple of my daughters/DILs have those French Door models. One of them has had to have the gasket replaced. My daughter’s model does not have the water on the outside deliberately because she has an autistic child who would be squirting water all over the kitchen. She gets her ice inside. My other grandchildren love my water/ice feature and do not make a mess with it. If they lived around here, I wouldn’t have the problem with ice uilding up in the container inside.

Gas stovetop is downdraft so no need for hood. Your style fridge sounds like what I want. I will now research those exclusively. I do not want a subscription to consumer reports but would pay for a search do you know if that’s possible.

Well yeah but you can’t even get that anymore! Unless it had a mural painted on the front what could be pretty.

Well, it was sleek and well designed. It’s not really SS, but it has a SS look that does not show fingerprints. It was replacing a grey fridge and it had grey sides with the SS look front. All of the other fridges had black sides which would not have looked good in my kitchen. I was NOT replaceing everything — just a dead refrigerator.

OMG I am so sensitive to smells - and I can NOT use ice if the freezer smells -

We have black appliances and have to say I probably would go with stainless next time - I like the look of the black because we have a black and gold granite, but every speck shows on the black!

I still have my harvest gold Lady Kenmore 25 side by side in the basement. I bought that in 1975 and it still works great. I don’t know about the water and ice, because I haven’t had that hooked up in years, but the refrigerator/freezer still work great.

It’s only problem is that it is too large for most kitchens. At the time I bought it I was told that it was the most often returned unit because it just wouldn’t fit! I’ve had it in the kitchen of 2 other houses, but there is no way it would fit here any place besides the basement, even if the color weren’t out of style.

You have invoked the ghost of refrigerators past-my mom had a turquoise one when I was little, and an avocado green one later on-the first one I bought was coppertone, but now it is either almond or white for me, because I like country décor in my kitchen, and that goes best with neutral appliances-the one here is white...

My comment about black sides should be put in the context of 5 years ago. Now lots of the fridges have grey sides, but at the time only LG was produced with grey sides. Although the refrigerator is in a pocket, the sides show a little bit.

I’m so unimaginative when it comes to appliances...

OMG it is raining on HALF of my yard! To one side of my patio you can see a light rain falling, but nothing on the other side of the patio!

That is so weird! I’ve seen it rain only on the other side of the water here-1/2 mile away-but never, ever on half a yard.

It looks a bit like rain here, too-yesterday when we were welding up the gates and tying wire it started sprinkling on us, with the wind blowing, and my compadre and I yelled at XXXX to unplug his welding rig, NOW...

I don’t have a beer fridge any more, but when I did, it was that old coppertone one...
