She had an incredible voice - I was always impressed. I remember back in the golden age of variety shows Eydie and Steve Lawrence would do some excellent duets.
I liked Edie. She and Steve were a great couple and singers. Prayers for Steve.
I got to see them live once. It was amazing. I must have been 15 or so and it still made an impression.
She just died? At 84?
I would have thought she was 104 and died a long time ago...
Rest in Peace beautiful woman.

I recall many evenings growing up listening to her and to her husband, Steve Lawrence, sing on many of the tv variety shows of the 50s - 70s until that type went away. May she now join the heavenly choir.
May the angels sing her home. Great entertainer....loved she and Steve so much
Send in the Clowns. Much better, IMHO, that a lot of others singers:

VERY sorry to hear this. Steve and Eydie were longtimed favorites.
My favorite song as a little kid, about age 3 years, was Eydie Gorme’s “You’ve Got To Have Rain.” God Bless her and Steve Lawrence. Didn’t they have a short live TV show? Or was it only a few TV specials of their own they did? Plus of course appearing on other shows like Carol Burnett, Andy Williams, etc. Oh the good old days. The crap on TV that kids (of all ages) watch these days is disgusting and if I started on the music. Oh my for the good old days.
Thank you for the great music in the 60’s.
Too bad - I think she and her husband used to spend a lot of time on the original Tonight Show when Steve Allen got it underway way back in the ‘50’s - good times.....
Got to see Steve and Eydie open for Frank Sinatra at Miami Arena many many years ago. Awesome show and I am only 39 yrs old...I always had a total respect and appreciation for legends. They were awesome. I was thankful enough to see Sinatra 3 times while he was alive. Glad I did.
Loved her and her music. Rest in peace Miss Eydie Gormé.
Good memories of Steve and Eydie..Rest with the angels, Eydie.
My condolences to all who love her.
I LOVED her voice and her SPUNK!! RIP.
RIP. Condolences to Mr. Lawrence.
