I lived in Westchester for 30 years, and ate at the CIA often. The restaurant experience is superb. And it's great to sit there, and watch the kitchen.. And in the summertime, you should see the cars lined up at their hot-dog stand.

Did you ever eat at "The Bird and the Bottle Inn"....anotgher one of my faves..

From their FB regarding merchandise proceeds donation:”..We are not using the tragedy of the Fallen Fire Fighters as a way to exploit the sale of our merchandise.
We have proudly donated to several charities for over the past 10 years, this is nothing new for us. Our offer to donate 10% of the sales from our shirts was a sincere gesture to the families to honor those Men who died for this Country.
I am sorry that you feel that 10% is a “paltry” amount, but would you mind sharing with us how much money you have donated to the families?....”

My CIA training was under guest-chefs James Beard and Wolfgang Puck, plus several other well-known staff chefs.

“Bird and Bottle Inn”, off Rt 9 in Garrison, NY. Superb: 2 stars. I ate there several times and once helped Elaine in the kitchen when one of her sous chefs was sick. It was a hectic night in that small kitchen. LOL.
