Simon Cowell giving his pregnant lover a £10m house to bring up their baby

Simon Cowell is handing over a £10million pad to Lauren Silverman so she can bring up his baby in Los Angeles.

The X Factor boss has agreed to give his house on the Trousdale estate in Beverly Hills to her once she divorces husband Andrew.

But the deal doesn’t mean he will get back with pregnant Lauren as it’s the same tactic he has used when ditching previous girlfriends.

It is the first clear sign his relationship with Lauren, 36, is over and it is understood he will continue to live in another property nearby, visiting the child when he can.

A US property source, who has dealt with the music mogul, said: “Simon has amassed a lot of houses with his fortune and will want to provide for his child.

“But he seems to give away a house every time he splits from a girlfriend, so he is getting through them more quickly than he thought.

“He has instructed his advisers to let Lauren have the house, which means she can be nearby but crucially not too close so he can get on with his work and usual lifestyle.”

It is thought Lauren will live at the property within an exclusive development with her mum Carole Saland, and the child.

It is said to be a 7,265 square-foot home with four bedrooms, ocean views, a digital screening room and a swimming pool.

Neighbours include Ringo Starr and Elton John.

He’s laying (no pun intended) the ground work for a new reality TV show called “The Women Who Slept With Simon.”

She will have one helluva tax liability as a gift, if it truly is signed into her name.

The donor pays gift tax not the donee, so any gift tax will be Cowell's responsibility. My guess is that he will structure it in such a way that it will not be deemed a gift for tax purposes.

Why get married and divorce? Save time. Just find a woman you can’t stand and buy her a house.

So, will the divorce settlement from her husband give her the funds to operate the estate? Housekeepers, lawn care, pool boy?
