It's been raining all day today and lots during the week. Hubby has not been able to work construction, so he's been busy harvesting during the temporary cessations of rain, and produce has been busy producing like there is not tomorrow.
Hope you are all well. Have a great weekend, and God Bless.
I stuck a couple of plumeria cuttings in the ground this week to root. Trying to extend my summer!
Tomatoes and crabgrass are thriving. Can’t keep up with the okra. Second planting sweetcorn in full tassle. Still have two rows of potatoes in the ground. Peppers are going crazy. Quite a contrast to last year!
I was also surprised at what was on them; lots more coming, too. Chicken & rabbit manure work wonders.
Oh, and rain again today, after a second, closer, tornado yesterday, making 2 this week. We have now received all of the average rainfall for August, plus all of September's, and 2/3 of October's averages; and the month is just coming up on half over. The tornadoes are just weird, as there's only around a dozen on record for the entire Black Hills region (and most of those in the Wyoming or northern portions of the Hills) since 1953.
