I tested at 134 on Cattell but did not qualify for Mensa due to poor testing on the entrance exam.
Intelligence is so multifaceted that value-testing on specific tests is not a reliable indicator of overall intelligence.
I may be “smart” by a number, but, for instance, my brother could hang a door, install a floor, or fix a toilet quicker than I could, because I tend to overthink everything.
It sure is. I'm more impressed with that 8 (I think) year old girl who was mentioned here a couple weeks ago that is already a Masters level chess champion and she also plays matches blindfolded.....
And saying, “I’m in MENSA” IS showing off - she’s smart enough to have figured that out.
