Since I was military intelligence I knew a lot of military policeman. The MPs and the Korean National Police shared stations out in the city outside the gates of the camps (the “ville”) and we’d stop in during our pub crawls. One time, the Koreans had an older woman strapped to a straight back chair and were beating her with fists, clubs, truncheons, saps and throwing her across the room in the chair. What was her crime, I asked? She didn’t have her identification card on her person. Do you think they ever got into trouble for that?
I’ve heard about those guys in Korea...they’ re probably chiefs by now!;)
