WASHINGTON (CBSDC) Beware the military salute!
The National Football League will reportedly be cracking down on excessive celebrations and taunting this upcoming season.
Pro Football Talk reports that that referees working training camps have been warning players about celebrating too much.
The taunting rule is nothing new in the NFL, but what some critics have dubbed the No Fun League, officials will now go a step further to enforce the rule.

What’s next? Telling the fans to be quiet?
No Fun League? How about No Excitement League? How about 17 Minutes Of Play League?
engine engine number nine, comin' down Chicago line, if the train jumps off the track, out goes why, oh, you
May I take three steps forward?
1 .. 2 .. 3 .. RED LIGHT !
Red Rover Red Rover send Jimmy right over
Who won the game?
WE ALL DID !!!!!!!
Who knows? Maybe they will require each team to deliberately fumble, and throw passes to the defense.
Each team will have a Mark Sanchez?
Nothing to worry about as a Jet fan.
Might save some embarrassment for the classless idiots. I mean, why don’t you act like a man who has been there before when you get into the end zone?
They already took their purses and backpacks away.

This past season I attended a Denver Bronco game in Denver. Peyton Manning was working his offensive magic on the field when a wave started around the stadium. Peyton raised his arms with an exasperated look and the wave stopped immediately. Every one of the 75,000 plus in attendance shut up ... you could hear a pin drop. Sort of the same effect when the home room teacher walks into the classroom. Now, Payton likes an exuberant crowd, just not when he's calling offensive signals.
When you get into the end zone, act like you’ve been there before. A little fist pump, toss the ball to the nearest official and jog back to the bench with a little wave to the crowd.
It’s National Felons League.
Fix that problem, and the other problems will go away.
I think the rationale for this ban is that excessive celebrations hurt the feelings of the other team - and might goad them to retaliate in violent fashion. If so, it's stupid - these players work their asses off to get the ball across the goal line - let them celebrate and show us their human side. Let them show us that they truly love to succeed at this sport. Goodell needs to recuse his silver-spoon, white a$$ from making this decision and appoint some real football players to set the ground rules for celebrations.
why is that so difficult to understand? I hope they throw a flag on a player in the middle of a celebration on his way to the endzone and his team get a 15yd penalty from the original LOS..
Gotta love when the morons dance in the endzone and are still 30 points behind.
Effing morons every one.
Next, no score keeping...it hurts the little felon’s feelings.
Right you are! The excessive celebration comes out of the urban garbage culture, which is where the NFL thugs, freaks, and felons are mostly coming from.
I’ll be working on the escape pod.. they can have ‘their game’.
