I got to see a few games there in the early 60's..the right field overhang was unreal..I've heard of outfielders waiting to catch a ball, and it ended up being a homer, because it landed in the upper deck.

My favorite quirk of old ballparks was Cincinnati's Crosley Field. A large part of the outfield was terraced...think Houston's "Tal's Hill" X 100....and you get the idea. I spent a few weeks the summer of '65 out there..and went to about 10 games. The place was a dump..it was torn down a few years later....IIRC foul area behind home plate was HUGE..even bigger than today's Oakland Coliseum..

Miguel Cabrera would be at 60 or more home runs right now if he played in Tiger stadium.
