It’s been a while since I’ve been to the land side of DFW. I seem to remember that although they upgrade the tram, the access roads that feed the terminals are poorly designed. Way to narrow and like driving in a maze.

You have a tough job. I’ve always a appreciated the van drivers that have to put up with rude passengers and traffic on those hot, Texas days. I hop you got a good tip for trying to move things along.

DallasBiff, I think the complements in post 44 are to you rather than me.

PhiloBedo - once you get used to them, the loops inside the airport aren’t the problem. They’ve re-done the roads around the north entrance, and put up signs that will send you the wrong way if you take them literally. And now they are tearing up the airport on the south side. And finally, they’ve torn up the ramps around Terminal A to run the light rail line into the airport.

They replaced the looping trams outside security with a fairly decent rail system at roof level inside security - great if you are changing planes, but not much use to locals. And since you will generally come back to a different terminal than you left from, and there aren’t good links outside security, terminal parking doesn’t make any sense at all if you check baggage.
