I have a lot of video of moose, mostly taken in and around Yellowstone park. My spouse loves them so we seek them out. The closest I’ve been to one was probably about twenty feet, but I was not moving and he was slowly grazing on flowers coming in my direction. I could zoom right up his nose. A ranger finally advised me to back off. It was right out in front of Lake Lodge in YNP. They can sprint really fast.
My late father’s house, where I live, is in a forest.
A few weeks ago I’m standing out by the mailbox with an umbrella opened up over a package to be mailed. It’s raining and I know the mail lady is coming back down the hill, so I’m waiting to talk to her.
Hearing a noise behind me I turn; there is a doe sneaking up behind me, probably to check out the umbrella.
