Our little girl arrived this afternoon. Nikki went to the hospital at 6 this morning and the baby came about 2:45 PM. Mom and baby are doing fine. I have forgotten the baby’s name as its one of those hard to remember names. She weighed around 7 lb. 6 oz. When I get the name, I will tell you.
I didn’t go out there today.....frankly, I just wasn’t feeling too well today. Plus I had some cube steak in the fridge that had to be fixed. I did the steak and mushroom gravy thing, I love it but it looks like too much. I may eat it for two meals....after that I don’t know. Its in the oven now and there’s a wonderful smell in this house. Isn’t it hard to cook for just one? Hubby loved this particular meal and makes me think of him more. I always fixed wild rice as a side as he loved wild rice.
Hope all of you have had a wonderful day.
This was so sweet, it made me tear up but they were tears of love. It truly touched my heart, Kitty. Thank you so much.

The only thing I remember from the recovery room after the surg. on my patella was the doctor smiling at me after shaking me awake, he asked how are you doing.....and my answer was (wait for it) Will I still be able to walk to the bathroom....yep, small blessings are sometimes the best..:O)
Congratulations on your New and Precious Blessing, Dear Jaycee! God Bless your Sweet Grandbaby.
Goodnight, Dear FRiends, and God Bless. Love to All.
How adorable but even more so thoughtful. We have the sweetest group of friends here on Amy’s. I hope I get to see the baby today. Haven’t found out yet if she gets to go home today or not. All I know is they rush them in and out of the hospital with new babies. I can’t wait to see the little one and get her full name straightened out and of course to hold her for a few minutes.
If she gets home today, I will run down to see them and if its tomorrow, I will wait until tomorrow. I’m so anxious. I asked Gwen yesterday if it looked just like me (with a big chuckle) and of course Gwen said “exactly like Nana”..LOL!
Movers and shakers are people climbing the ladder of influence and success. Luke 3 mentions seven prominent leaders who exercised control in the society of their time. Roman Emperor Tiberias Caesar held the power of life and death over people in his far-flung empire. Pontius Pilate represented Rome as governor of Judea; while Herod, Philip, and Lysanias kept people in line at the regional level. Annas and Caiaphas served as high priests, taking their religious authority seriously.
While these power brokers flexed their political muscles, the Word of God came to John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness (v.2). Who could seem less important than this obscure man living in the desert and listening for Gods voice? What could John the Baptist possibly accomplish by preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins? (v.3). Yet multitudes came to John seeking truth, turning from their wrongs, and wondering if he could be the Messiah (vv.7,15). John told them, One mightier than I is coming . . . . He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire (v.16).
Johns life helps us understand what it means to be significant in Gods eyes. Like John, may everything we say and do point others to Jesus.
Read: Luke 3:2-6,15-18
Thank you so much, sweet Kitty. I can’t wait to see the new baby and hope its today but not sure if she’ll go home today or tomorrow. I have watched Nikki’s “big belly” so long and I know she is so glad to hold it in her arms. And I’m so anxious to see what big sister Braelyn thinks about the new baby. She will be acting like the new mommy. I know she will love it. Braelyn is such a sweet little girl and they love to play Mommy. I know she will love it (even though they have to watch the jealousy, which sometimes comes when a new baby gets too much attention.) They have planned for all of this.
And I loved your little kitty in bed all covered up and cozy!
And I am thankful that I have a loving God who is still in the prayer answering business.

I know i have missed several. “Off the top of my head”- well just not what it used to be! Been in Ohio now for almost a month. Living like the Amish. Mixed bag I have followed most if your stuff either here at FR or on FB. Gail , your DIL cancer, marylou the prayer sites here, Rus the NY continuing battles n your stellar contributions to the cause. A new baby for Jaycee! Etc
Responding is often difficult. Right now I am sitting In my van with temps in low 40s as I have two bars on my cell. Normally I have none inside n one to none out. Have a great iPhone n AT&T ( which sucks). Provided by brother so am thankful for what I have. Service was better for a few days n then back to bad. I guess the tower relays go out n where I am rurally is not a priority to fix
Pups n Molly the cat doing well
Most of my posting is on FB when I am out n about.
Just a quick drop in. Dislike texting on cell
Hugs n love all around
Such a beautiful doggie!
By the way, I have the baby’s name now! She is Lyncoln Reese Winchell! When I first heard Lyncoln, I about flipped out.
Since I found out it started with Lyn, I felt a little better and now I’m okay with it. What do I know about baby’s names? They have baby books with names now and I wonder if they found it there!! I will learn to love it and its the baby that counts anyway!! I hope I get to see her today if they get home today.

Ooops, double post....sorry!
Dolly, what a strong woman you must be! You have endured so much these past two years; physically and emotionally! May the LORD grant you safe keeping.
Ps. 91:4 - He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
