“White Center” is slowly coming back to me. I did used to hear the name. Up in the U-District we were shielded from most of that stuff. I occasionally rode the bike down to Seward park but no further.
The U-Dist is where I used to hang out esp. the Ram - great place.
They told me all the bad things that would happen if I voted for Romney and danged if they weren’t right too!
6 months of winter and 6 months of road construction .... :)
“No, MLK Drive in Shreveport not making the list is wrong.”
I had forgotten about Chris Rock. I agree with him. Avoid all MLK streets, drives, lanes, boulevards and highways! LOL
Hope you are not picking on Livonia, a profoundly safe city, but did get a pretty good chuckle!
Do you still proctor FAA exams? Ever log landings in Richland, Pasco, or Kennewick (Vista Field closing soon)?
Nah, the word Trayvonia got stuck in my head. Maybe next time I will suggest Trayvonazoo or Trayvasack or Trayviac.. :p
Places like South Central were once a majority black. But South Central LA went predominantly working class Hispanic many years ago.
And the reason why crime has substantially been dropping for years now.
Not anymore. I’m down here in Australia (see profile page). I’ve landed at Pangborn in Wenatchee and in Coeur D’Alene. I’ve hit pretty much all the airports in the Puget Sound area and the east side of Seattle like Auburn and Spanawy and Pierce-Thurston. I flew out of Harvey quite a lot (Snohomish).
Motah City pride!
I was hoping to take some local glider instruction on my one trip to Aus (Queensland), but didn’t get to that.
Philly’s number one demographic is Black. I’d say Philly and Memphis are done for good.
Where in QLD were you looking?
File this data under “no s*** Sherlock”. Where is Capt Obvious when we need him?
” Id say Philly and Memphis are done for good.”

Along with many other once great cities. How about Chicago?
Look at how many are murdered every day in Chicago.
The lake front may be the only thing saving the city.
If the city was landlocked, it would be much worse.
One of my most exciting landings was at Meigs field at Chicago’s lakefront. I see that it was closed in the 90s.
Run and tell that, O Congressional Black Caucasians! (to borrow a term from El Rushbo)
BALTIMORE???
“BALTIMORE???”

What about Baltimore? I have been there only one time, back in the 80s.
I have been in some really really bad areas of Atlanta in my past (East Lake Meadows, Red Oak, Hollywood Courts, Bowen Homes, Perry Homes, Techwood, the Bluff, Cabbagetown, Boat Rock, Herndon Homes, Capitol Homes, Dixie Hills, etc.), but the only one I where I was really in fear was Bankhead Courts.
