And if that scenario happens, we here in the US had better prepare to be down for a long time. Just because we’ve rescued other countries from various things in the past, does not mean any country, including Canada, will necessarily have the capability to rescue all 315 million of us from such devastation.

Forstchen’s book is not about a Solar Flare.
A solar flare cannot do what is described in the book. A solar flare does not impact electronics.
