God got it wrong?
Sorry, but this guy is just senile anymore.
In the words of that Great Statesmen and Theologian Jimi Hendrix
Is this Love... baby
or is it ...uh...C-O-N-F-U-S-I-O-N.
I’d suggest that its confusion.
God doesnt MAKE mistakes
I wonder if his apologists will claim the “out of context” defense like the Catholics did with Francis.
He went out of his way to make those comments. He wasn’t even asked his view on sex changes, he was asked about dealing with people who have had sex changes.
Pat is leaning on his own understanding I’m afraid.
What level of alteration is OK?
Circumcision--cleared by The Almighty.
Piercings (ears, eyebrows, lips tongues, belly buttons, etc.)?
Tattoos?
We accept the medically necessary that might otherwise be considered mutilation, in order to save life itself.
Liposuction?
Face lifts, tummy tucks, etc.?
Is this just another optional modification, albeit extreme?
While other optional modifications are generally done to make a person feel more beautiful (keeping in mind that our Creator made us as He would have us), is it sinful to make the lesser changes, and if not, why the greater ones?
It still does not change the person--the DNA remains the same.
Mind you, I'm NOT arguing for such self-mutilation, even at the hands of a qualified surgeon, I'm just trying to look at the whole issue of optional body modification. Is there a point where the modification becomes a sin, and if so, where?
Like I said on another thread, we donate to CBN because of its work done overseas-—feeding kids, helping with disasters, spreading the Gospel. But that stops now. There are plenty of organizations that do the same thing.
I thought the generation that took Pat Robertson seriously would have died off now.
I think he may be talking about Hermaphrodites vs thinking you are female when you have the plumbing of a boy and chromosomes to match.
Christ: "I never knew you"
He really said that?
Maybe he can plead age.
Surely he does not think that man can do better then God...
Pat needs to go. He is hurting CBN.
It’s ok to commit adultery (or it’s your fault if your spouse does) and now it’s ok to have a sex change.
Wow.
Christianity sure has changed since I became saved.
All that heavy lifting has left Rev Pat with a little mental fatigue
