If he was more orthodox I might think he wanted to witness to them. But that idea seems to be out of the window.

It’s ok to commit adultery (or it’s your fault if your spouse does) and now it’s ok to have a sex change.
Wow.
Christianity sure has changed since I became saved.

Responding to viewer David’s question about whether he should recognize as female two coworkers who are apparently transgender, Robertson starts by saying he doesn’t “understand all that.”
“But I think there are men who are in a woman’s body,” the 83-year-old former Baptist minister continues. “It’s very rare, but it’s true. Or women that are in men’s bodies. And they want a sex change.

Well, OK. Like the devil does, hell’s denizens might want to visit earth or heaven if it were hypothetically possible... to spread their hatred against God’s love, which act to them would be a delight. And I believe Dives realized he wouldn’t be credible, but Lazarus would be, if he was going to beg his brothers to forsake the desire of going to hell. (Don’t come here because then I will have to quarrel with you more and I don’t want to be bothered with the effort!) (Aaaaah, get outta here, we’d love to quarrel with you, you little runt!)
Hell is a weird place, very literally speaking. I think they like the torment.

I think he popped a few blood vessels in his brain while leg pressing 2000 pounds.

I am old enough to remember when Christian leaders frowned on WOMEN who got boob jobs.
Now Robertson supports it when men do.
Weird.

Is there a point where the modification becomes a sin, and if so, where?
Therein is the ignorance of Pat's response. He basically said, "I (and God) don't care if you mutilate yourself." But, that wasn't the question.
The question was do I have a moral obligation or is it a sin to play along with the delusional misgivings of people who mutilated themselves?
Hey, I think people who put loops in the ears are idiots and look pretty damn stupid, but do I have a moral obligation to tell them they "look great?" Is it a sin to tell them (or not tell them) that they look stupid?
I think the funniest thing is when people cut themselves or slash their arms/legs, they are put into mental hospitals and are "treated." But if you pay someone else to do it, or you call it "body art" then, hey, you are just fine and normal. As you stated, where is that line?

I must admits I find the Amish lifestyle more appealing than I would crammed into a small apartment in New York city.
Heck, even in Donald Trump's palatial multimillion $$$ penthouse apartment I would feel claustrophobic.
Like in the Old “Green Acres” comedy theme song:
Green acres is the place for me.
Faaaarm livin’ is the life for me.
Land spreadin’ out so far and wide
Keep Manhattan, just give me that countryside.
Call me provincial, call me hick or redneck but that's what I love.

Theyd be better off using whatever is needed to glorify the Lord as the Lord provides it without putting an artificial limit on what He can provide.
I, too agree they take it the extreme but, I can imagine them argueing "That's the way to temptation and thus damnation"
Or foolish waste of time, which I must admit that is my vice.
One thing I absolutely don't understand and in fact, abhor is their "shunning"
I want to fight for a lost soul up until they take their last breathe. I don't "Get in their face" about it but gently remind them that Salvation awaits.
Buts that's just me.

Hatred has a way of being weirdly pleasurable...
So very true.
It burns like fire, but like fire renders itself to ashes. I too, used to have a burning hatred(won't say either) until I realized it destroyed more than it created and what it did created me was poison. And more enemies than friends and these "friends" were not the sort of people I was raised to emulate.
I must confess I have "backside" into old habits here on FR in the beginning but(hopefully) have reined in my passions before they get to that point.
Love is so much more enriching

I’m old enough and I don’t remember. In fact it seems Baptist minister Jack Schaap supported such things.
