Well, I think I took a fair look at the Francis flap. The biggest, and probably only really serious, concern is that he (speaking in Italian) used the term “gay” literally borrowed into Italian. However this got rendered as “gay” in English. If anyone needs for the Lord’s sake to not slip into this dastardly euphemism (rejoicing in iniquity isn’t “gay” in any manner) it’s an influential Christian luminary. It could be a one off for Francis if he takes warning about saying “gay” in Italian again except to disparage the term.
But Pat... it’s unclear on the surface what context could “clarify” it to be something satisfactory... but again did he get asked a trick question, like what do they do with a boy born sans penis or a girl born sans vagina, or with one of the rare XXY children. Let’s find out at least that.

You know what Cathy? My mom says it’s just best to give money to your church than to give to these big organizations. If you want to help kids overseas then help missionaries in your church, my mom says that is best. That way you know where the money is going.

I’ve often wondered that, too. Even little things like dying one’s hair, putting on makeup, wearing a toupee, even dressing to hide one’s figure flaws, aren’t we saying we aren’t happy with the way God made us?
Well he was an old Baptist luminary who mostly had some sense. The SBC, at least, has firmed up doctrine after Pat’s time of service. Such surgeries, in the absence of some genuine phenotypic abnormality, are simply mutilations and acts of hate. They aren’t unforgiveable sins, there is only one unforgiveable sin (refusal to accept the Holy Spirit’s leading to believe Jesus according to the gospel promise), but to say there’s nothing wrong with that... he’s losing marbles.
Who bashed Catholics? I was pointing out the recent similar comment made by Francis, which is pertinent to this thread in that the Gaystapo will run with it.
A boy who has his penis removed is still a boy. A girl who has her breasts removed is still a girl.

The Baptist word for this with a believer is 'backsliding' (Baptists are not afraid to use colorful language in preaching). Such a person is in heightened danger of divine discipline lest he do much more damage.
Actually it means the opposite sex isn’t happy with the way one is made.
Baptists should use the word scripture uses: carnal. Fleshly.
Call it what it is, not what the left wants you to call it. HOMOSEXUAL, because there's nothing GAY about it.
