Today, on his show, he articulated what we have been mulling over. How did we get to this place? What happened to us? He said it is like we turned our backs and this mess has happened. WE know it took about 50 years.
Why are pubbies pushing back against the conservatives? Why capitulate to the demorats? What happened to representation?
We are so alone.
How did we get to this place? What happened to us?I think it's all related to the internal struggle between the base human impulses for laziness, pride and greed.
I guess in my opinion, pride has been outlawed, while laziness and greed have been elevated to admirable qualities.
The voters, when offered the low-hanging fruit of govt entitlements, disregarded their pride and took the lazy way out to satisfy just enough of their greed to keep them complacent.
The Libs have fully-embraced the new paradigm and milk it for all the power and influence they can get, to satisfy their greed. Their greed overpowers their laziness.
The GOP are greedy for the same power & influence but lack the will to go after it as wholeheartedly as the libs. So they take the lazy way out and do nothing, content with the scraps they can scrounge. Their laziness overpowers their greed.
