I can understand her bosses not being happy with her napping on company time but I think firing her was probably a little extreme.
Does not rise to the level of the Youngstown, Ohio anchorette who took a Florida vacation, got rip-snorting drunk, entered a wet t-shirt contest which had her eventually stripping down to her panties, which ended up in one of those Girls Gone Wild videos.
She was also fired. Yet today she works in Cleveland, a much larger market. I suspect that is what awaits Miss Allen as well.

probably got her into trouble as much as anything else. As a reporter, she needs to understand that she has a 24/7 job. In the same way that teachers really never are out of the spotlight, the public has certain expectations of reporters. Fair? Maybe not, but that’s the rules of the game, and if you want to play, you stick to them.
