I have a Logitech Revue and it only costs I think less than $9 month. I get Netflix, and of course google tv. Also available on the net is TopDocumentaryFilms.com which has many of the educational/History/Science/Bio/ etc TV and films... for free. Just need an internet connection and you are good to go-- and can do it cheap.
Between those there are too many to watch most evenings. I consider it a real deal.
NoW even more of a deal is I pay NOTHING -0- for telephone. Local and long distance. I have a obi 100 and I paid the one time fee for that of $39.00. Look up obi100 on amazon and check all the great reviews, but you can also check on NewEgg and see great reviews also.
The computer does NOt need to be on, just you modem and/or router. So for the cost of the internet $39 through mindspring I can get hi speed internet
My local and long distance is FREE and crystal clear I might say.. The unit that does that is about the size of a cigarette pack which is just amazing...
And my television is $9.00 a month.

So for less than $50/month I have phone, internet, and television.
Yes I have cut the cords and love not paying the big bills anymore.
More channels than I can watch, crystal clear phone, and Hi speed internet.
Life is pretty good, now if I can get another part time job I will have a little money to spend and pay FR for the great service they provide. Oh, and SSD is far less than you would think! Take a break and see lots of TV.

Oh and I watch History Channel, A&E, Discovery, various BBC, Several science channels, and various other shopping, food, etc on TopDocumentaryFilms.com for free.

Most of the Fox news channels I see thru my Logitech revue got free. I can also watch the Amazon on demand free and the paid ones if I want them the year they are new.
Sports I can go to our local bistro and get a good meal or catch many on my HiDef and otair channels.
The Revue also has all the Google TV free also except the current Amazon On Demand movies and shows. You can still find Revue refurbs for about $35-39. What a brilliant device that is and there is so much more I can't go into right now. Logitch blew the marketing on that and it was out about 3 or 4 years ago but they discontinued it.. what a shame...what a waste... but they still support it!
I can not say enough about the ObiHai telephone though.. after the initial $39. is has been free and clear... as good as my Fios was. So my on going expense is the Netflix and the Internet.
