I think the introduction of the "Princess" Phone was the beginning of the end. What an innovation that was! Today they'd have to name it the "Diva," "Dyke," or "Lesbo" phone.

Mom had one of those for years..blue for her. The dial would light up for night time/dark room dialing. Pretty futuristic stuff in the early 60’s

I had one of those. Mine was a light teal color and the dial lit up. I loved that phone.

The Princess phone was awesome [at the time]. Beige. Then there were beige regular phones. Then the pink Princess!!
