Wow, some attorneys discovered (or instigated) a cash cow.

It’s been the same, old refrain for fifty years now: “It’s not because I’m stupid, uneducated, untalented, a chronic pain in the neck with an attitude, or even a criminal - it’s because my skin is bla-ack!”

I can see their point. Really... if their ancestors had never come to America, they could really be raking it in now. Those “African Idol” contests sure do rock! It’s a cryin’ shame they have to suffer living in America when it would be so much better for them somewhere else. Sheesh!

The lawsuit stems from a letter submitted in January by New York City lawyer James H. Freeman on behalf the 10 contestants to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Misnomer...EEOC really stands for Eventual Elimination Of Caucasians.

Freeman also claimed that the show illegally dredged up arrest records to make the black contestants appear to be violent criminals, liars and sexual deviants, ... . Am I getting this correctly?
The arrest records of the contestants are real, showing them to be, violent criminals, liars and sexual deviants, it is that the show illegally dredged these records up?

If the producers think they suffered a ratings plunge last year, wait ‘till this nonsense takes hold!
To: massmike
“...the show illegally dredged up arrest records...”
Were there factual arrest records for the contestants?
Did the contestants sign a statement that they had no felony arrests?
If so, it appears that the contestants were trying to defraud the show? (if that’s the correct legal term?)

If all 10 were disqualified for criminal Background, arrest records, or whatever, that can be easily proven or disproven.
If That’s the case, and all 10 were black, what does that say about the black community?

Or they thought they’d lose ratings if the show featured wall-to-wall incoherent screaming and nasty rappers.
To: JohnG45
Criminal records can be accessed easily enough and completely legally. The attorney would surely know this. He probably pulls them all the time doing background checks on the oppsing party.
