South Africas iconic retired archbishop, Desmond Tutu, said on Friday that if he had his pick, hed go to hell before heading to a heaven that condemned homosexuality as sin.
I would not worship a God who is homophobic and that is how deeply I feel about this, he said, by way of denouncing religions that discriminate against gays, in Agence France-Presse..

Just another skirmish in the language wars. Homophobic has acquired a meaning well beyond it’s original use. It is now a catch-all for any from of animus toward gay-ism, even if that animus has nothing to do with fear, or has a demonstrably sound basis in rational thought. Doesn’t matter. It’s the dog-whistle word for summoning up the darkness of resentment the reprobate soul has for all good things ordained of God, and that resentment not only requires no reason; it is in it’s nature opposed to reason.
Better pack light summer clothing.
True, however, his strident remarks about his opposition to a god who would oppose homosexuality shows either his ignorance of the Bible or his outright defiance of the entity that wrote that book.
He’s a bishop like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are reverends. What better tools for Satan to use to spread his lies than these so-called men of the cloth.
Bing! Wish granted.
That remark PROVES that Tutu wouldn’t know God if he met Him on the street wearing a Name Tag!
Tutu was a commie before commie was cool.
Another Marxist, cynically using religion, like Jim Jones, only without the Kool-Aid.
Tutu doesn’t know God then. If he’d put some human’s sin over spending eternity in our Lord’s presence, then he just doesn’t have a clue.
Did Tutu, by that remark, just reveal to the world that he’s a fudgepacker?
That remark sounds eerily like a boycott of Heaven, if you can conceive of something so outrageously unwise!
It’s like he took Stevie Wonder’s crack about boycotting Florida and kicked it up to the most stupidly obscene limit imaginable.
In both cases, it just makes me want to go there all the more! Praise Jesus!
The free gift of salvation made possible by Jesus Christ is conditional upon faith and behavior. People who decline to comply with the conditions fail to qualify and will cease to exist. (as compared to the belief that they have eternal life, but in an unpleasant place)
Jesus, through John, tells us in many places such as Revelation 22:15 that people who practice sexual immorality do not qualify for the priceless free gift that His life, death and resurrection make possible.
What about this is so hard to understand?
Uh ... Tutu ... there is no gay or straight in heaven. No relationships of those kinds at all. Just living souls united with God. Worshipping and praising Him.

Isa 56:4-5
4 For this is what the Lord says:
“To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths,
who choose what pleases me
and hold fast to my covenant
5 to them I will give within my temple and its walls
a memorial and a name
better than sons and daughters;
I will give them an everlasting name
that will not be cut off.

Is the behavior of self-worshiping homosexual activists and their abomination of nature pleasing to the Creator?
Historically, Evidently, NOT.
Well... with God’s gift of free will people get to pick.
For a moment I read... Osmond Tutu.
