Filmmaker Roman Polanskis teenage sex victim is set to stir up controversy by using a photo the director allegedly took of her to illustrate her upcoming memoirs.
Samantha Geimers The Girl features a cover portrait of the 13 year old taken less than three weeks before her sex encounter with Polanski at a Hollywood party in 1977.
Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter the shot was taken by Polanski himself during a photoshoot with Geimer at her Woodland Hills, California home, and it featured in a batch of material her lawyer demanded the filmmaker hand over to his client during a civil trial a decade after the director fled to Europe in 1978 in a bid to avoid sentencing.
Geimer was back in the headlines in 2009 when Polanski was detained by Swiss police at Zurich Airport in relation to his outstanding U.S. arrest warrant. Swiss authorities threatened to extradite the director and placed him under house arrest. In July, 2010, the Swiss court rejected the U.S. request and released Polanski from custody.
Throughout his arrest and detention drama, Geimer insisted she had forgiven the filmmaker for what he did to her.

‘sex encounter’? Try rape dummy! He was CONVICTED of rape!
The difference is that Polanski took his fortune and ran to another country. One that thumbs its nose at us because we have cowards in our foreign services.
Will the Los Angeles Times hire Whoopi Goldberg to write the book review?
Where was the outrage when the Oscar was bestowed in Hollywood USA?
I was outraged, but then again I am not from Hollywood. I also think MOST of his films are crap. But a few where terrific.
Right!
And not only Rape, to avoid the chance of getting her pregnant, he went with... well ..door #2

Aw, heck. She'll probably pay the "news" paper.
As dumb as she is ugly.
Polanski was very early talent, obviously, and just as obviously went spectacularly off the rails. Who knows what evil. Maybe it was Tate’s murder, which so impressed the weathermen, that made him funny in the head.
The left has a lot to answer for.
U R only half right. The left doesn’t understand that it doesn’t matter if she enjoyed it.
Of course f the ‘bad guy’ is Mary Kay LeTorneau?...
I read an article on Polanski in a newspaper a few years ago.
The girl was only 13 but was already sexually active. That doesn’t make much difference as she was 13. He got her drugged and raped her while she was unable to put up a protest.
I have no idea if she would have or not.
During the encounter she told him to stop. That’s what she testified to in court.
Waiting for the liberals to bash this book as “Harassment of a very talented man”. They excuse the rape that this child endured, all because- in their own words- “Polanski is so talented that it doesn’t matter what he did”. They make me sick.
