Seriously? Dhani Harrison was the young guy standing to the left of Tom Petty who looks like a very young George Harrison. Stevie Winwood has really changed, carries 60 pounds or more, still tears up the keyboard it appears.

His weirdness and hokey AM playlist songs like, “Little Red Corvette”, caused me to stay away from any of his tunes nor do I read pop magazines so he’s been nothing in my musical world. I’m serious, I had no idea Prince could play like that, now I’m gonna have to check some of his other stuff out to see for myself.

Absolutely. The guy is a genius. Writer, musician, singer, producer. The guy does it all. Sure, he a bit of a freak. But to be that friggin artistic you have to be. His solo on this video is just amazing. Loved watching the other guys watch him play. ...and he's a hell of a baller. Just ask Charlie Murphy.

He reminded me of Jimi Hendrix when I saw Jimi play live in my hometown of Evansville, Indiana many moons ago. Spooky actually, the facial expressions and body movements Prince laid down was eerily close to the way Jimi performed. You can take this to the bank, Prince seemed better than Jimi in this video.

It was supposed to be a joke.

It was supposed to be a joke. He looks so much like his dad it’s scary. I’ve never seen the kid before.

A friend of mine was a guitar tech on quite a few Prince tours in the past. The man is an incredibly talented musician but weird personality would be putting it lightly. You didn't talk to Prince, nor look him in the eye, if he wanted to address you he would speak to his attache’ who would tell you (what you just heard), you responded to the attache’ who would repeat it back to Prince. Break on of the rules and you were off the tour, never to work for him again.
if you are a blues fan, look for a Japanese import video of Prince performing a night of the blues, absolutely incendiary.

Duh, I thought it was, but like I said, duh on me.
To: BenLurkin
Didn’t Eric Clapton play lead guitar on the original song, not George Harrison ?? (Yes, the original version by The Beatles !!)
To: blam
You should try this one. Steve Lukather kills it.

I think so. That’s why I asked.
But after having watched the video, I’d say they did pretty good without him,

"You should try this one. Steve Lukather kills it." Excellent.
Lukather was a fan of George Harrison and Toto is one of my favorite bands. I believe I must have seen Lukather playing with Boz Scaggs when I lived in the SF Bay area...way back when.
Anyway, in this video Rosanna by Toto...Rosanna Arquette had been dating Steve Pocarno and most say the song is about that relationship. The song writer, David Paisch, says no.
Also, in the (Rosanna) video, the blonde dancer is Cynthia Rhodes who did the difficult dance parts in the movie Flashdance....note the 'West Side Story' motif in the video.

Here is around the time period where I like his music the best. He is hard to find online, because he aggressively enforces his copyrights and gets his videos deleted.
