Thank you!

As an interesting aside, the people I know/know of who are feeble/in ill health are nearly all male, under the age of 55, and most take a lot of prescription drugs, and don’t work at all, at anything-they do hang out at the deli and the ice house complaining a lot, though, which is why everyone knows them.

Healthy people never retire here-they just keep running their farms and businesses till they die of something quick.

The healthy of any age are simply not going to be forced support the sick, buy their drugs, pay for their hospital visits, etc across the board, Truthy-it is different with a private insurance company-their risk pool is not the whole f’in country-I have Tricare, but that is a limited risk pool, too.

Why should those of us who don’t seek medical attention unless injured or dying, remain drug free, fit, healthy and working pay for literally thousands who run to the doctor with every sniffle, are morbidly obese and depressed-and also pay for 8 or nine prescription drugs they take, and the side effects of all those drugs?

I’m probably rendered cynical by a degree in social work and years as a case manager, but I’ve seen so many able bodied people rendered stupid by antidepressants, painkillers, etc so that they never want to work again and end up on Medicaid and SSDI when their workers comp runs out. Obamascare is just that on a much larger scale- stepping off soapbox and exiting stage right...

There is a certain logic to the insurance groups. A company has an interest in the health of its workers and their loved ones.

My interest in the health of some unrelated person wanes.

I like the Obama plan to whip us all up into a frenzy of race division right before calling on all of us to see ourselves as one big insurance pool.
