I’ll have to remember to always make kooky statements through a character in a book.

One of my favorite quotes on that subject by science fiction author S M Stirling:

A little harsh, given that I didn’t attribute it to a character, but then again neither did www.goodreads.com, the first source my search for the quote revealed....

Stirling is a poor example of a sci-fi author; all of his work lacks realism.
