We can talk about how difficult it is for parents and children to live in that environment. But somehow it's terribly wrong to draw the obvious conclusion: That we should discourage people from choosing that lifestyle. I understand death and divorce may force people into it. But somehow it's taboo to stand up and say: "If it's so challenging, difficult and draining, we should tell young people to avoid it."
