Drug use - check.
No academic ability - check.

Obama’s son, or just Obama 35 years ago, no difference, really. Not a model citizen by any objective standard, young Trayvon was studiously training to be a thug. And apparently absorbing the lessons well. Where the Future Occupant of the White Hut took a different path was in that he never actually had a confrontation similar to what young Trayvon chose to make, while he was on some kind of holiday from where he was supposed to be. But the same belligerent, obstinate and relatively hostile frame of mind was clearly exhibited by both.

A smash in somebody’s face is no way to introduce yourself. Be prepared for a little push-back, because the Universe can be a cruel taskmaster, and sometimes the retribution is both swift and totally disproportionate.

Some 95% of the personal woe in this world is self-induced.
