Some of the threads to read about this [from Houston Chronicle]:
DPS director provides more details on confiscations
PDF of Letter of Texas State Rep Donna Howard and response by Texas Department of Public Safety [also from the Houston Chronicle]:
PDF of DPS McCraw Response to Rep Donna Howard
San Antonio Express-News article relating to this:
DPS search and seize potential projectiles at Senate
Basically, Texas state Representative Donna Howard is upset about jars of feces, jar(s) of urine, tampons and other feminine hygene products as well as a couple of bricks seized
The DPS Director claimed that the people possessing these items (who had chanted "HAIL SATAN") were not going to throw these as pro-life legislators or pro-lifers.
The DPS Director responded to the accusations of Texas Representative Donna Howard.
Clearly, the Texas Dept of Public Safety acted in the interests of PUBLIC SAFETY
State Rep Donna Howard act like one of the "GREAT DINGBATS OF THE 21ST CENTURY"
The Houston Chronicle article seems to think there is a legitimate reason to bring jars of feces to the Texas state legislature (which is why I am only providing links and not excerpts.)
Since the Houston Chronicle has decided to take a very biased approach to what happened, it is important to show the side of safety and that of the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The Houston Chronicle was standing up in favor of these Hail Satan folks...
What would you expect from people who chant: Hail Satan
So I rather doubt the cretins would support Obama critics having the same items during the next State of the Union speech.
Since no food or drink are allowed in the gallery, the DPS and Capitol Security should have forced them to eat and drink their bottled bag lunches before allowing them in the gallery!!!
