Check the FEMA website for a county-by-county list. Here in the southern Rockies, at 9494’, we were ranked as the 3rd safest in the States. This is for natural disasters of course.
No telling what would happen during civil unrest, etc. We’re considering those possibilities to be a time of target-rich environments.
I had never thought of the Great Rockies Upthrust as particularly non-violent but certainly resulted in a scenic location.
