Can anyone say "Kohoutek"?
I did a report on Kohoutek in grade school because it was visible in the sky at that time... or so I'm told. I couldn't see it. ;-)

IIRC, Japan and points South had the best views. The Northern Hemisphere, not so much.

Whats wrong with you??? I saw it in broad daylight just like they said we could. It was almost as bright as the sun and cast shadows at night. What rock were you living under???

I remember seeing a reference during that period to Gerald Ford as the “Kohoutek President.” I’m old enough to appreciate that joke at two levels.
