Hmmm, why isn’t there an attack on Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, and all the leftists who are filthy rich. Their hypocrisy makes me ill.
I have asked that very question. The response is that THEY use their wealth to donate to "good" causes (i.e., "progressive" causes) and help elect politicians who are "for the people." Why, most of their rich lefty heroes think they should have to pay MORE taxes (although they do not do so voluntarily and hire accountants to find every deduction)!
So, it's okay to be obscenely wealthy as long as you support leftist causes and make politically correct speeches. It's the same with Hollywood stars, popular musicians, and professional athletes. You can be as wealthy as you want as long as you claim to be "down with the struggle" and throw a little lucre toward their pet causes occasionally.
In part because of the Bill Gates Foundation. I actually heard a leftist today praising that foundation with near-religious fervor, and I agreed with some of that praise. It's his money, not taxpayer money.
