The cop is blamed because he committed physical assault. The woman did not commit assault.

I am not saying the officer is innocent. I am sayin g that we don't understand what happened. He asked her for her identification. She refused. That was wrong. The cop is already trying to deal with a driver...who may be drunk, drugged, armed, or all of the above..he now has another person walk up on him..maybe he thought she made a funny move...maybe he thought he say something in her hand..a cell phone...at night, in the dark it can be mistaken for a gun or a knife..he tosses her against the car, she stumbles, hits her head...sounds plausible. Once she became semi-confrontational..hey..maybe she was screaming at him.. that was her first mistake..

What about all those on FR who always write.."Better to be judge by 12 than carried by 6." The same logic, and privilege should apply even more so to cops..
