I’m looking forward to the sequel- “Zombinado”
It was gonna be “Sharkizzard,” but Snoop Dog wanted to be paid royalties.
No she’s a 19 yo senior in HS this fall.
It is 79, cloudy, and sprinkles off and on-very pleasant-
What a mess we’re in again-
But unlike that Carter fool
This latest emperor wannabe
Believes that he is “cool”
The way corruption pullulates
Is a history lesson for all-
We can see what Rome was like
Just shortly before the fall
Obama has the chariot’s reins-
He’s speeding through the turns-
Except when he is playing golf
While everything just burns...
I’d pay real money to see the supposedly “trilingual” Rachel actually last out even one year of college. I guess no one told her if you claim to know more than one language, it is expected that you speak one of them fluently. Her accent is southern, and that does not say English is not her first language...
Not that there's anything wrong with that!
“how she passed any exam to enroll.” The daughter was amazed at the number of students in the same post-graduate program she was in who were told to go to remedial classes in basic subjects-especially English-many of them could not spell. She told me a particularly amusing story of the misuse of “turbine” instead of “turban” by a student when writing a paper...
If you thought the quality of higher education is lower than whale s***, you are right...
corruption pullulates
Indeed!
Today is one of the rare ones wherein the temperatures in New Jersey are higher than those in Texas.
Thank you! I’ve read that the sun is in an active phase with spots and flares this year-it is said to be affecting communication satellites, as well as weather.
That’s us Americans messing everyone up. The rest of the English-speaking world says “tur-bine” to rhyme with “shine.” We say “tur-bin.”
“Pullulater.”
What one altar boy said to the second rope in the belfry.
Oh I thought she said she was taking classes at a juco?
Unreal
well, she lied at one point and claimed she was. her lies are legend, hard to recall the truth.
I’m so sick of the media painting all blacks in America like the trash in the ghettos - they aren’t all stupid or lazy or disrespectful of this country. But the folks who worked hard in school and at jobs and live well in the suburbs don’t fit the media agenda.
I am losing my paramedic partner to med school this fall. It’s been his dream to be a doctor forever. He will be an awesome doctor. I am very excited for him.
They are like the “moderate Muslims.” Their silence can be read as approval of the radicals who act as their self-appointed spokesmen.
Where are the black people and groups (outside of the expected conservative Thomas Sowells, etc.) stepping up to call BS on this Zimmerman witch hunt and Travyon canonization?
Sort of. 8<)
We are at the maximum of Solar Cycle 24, but it isn't much of a maximum (compared to the three previous solar cycles), and it is much later than previously expected: That is, the solar cycle 24 is both much lower and much later than solar cycles 20, 21, 22. Credible experts claim that, if trends continue, the next solar cycle (nbr 25) might even be “invisible” - the storms we see as cooler dark spot on the sun may be such a low intensity that the sunspots may not be visible at all. Last time this might have happened during the Maunder Minimum, there was a period of some 75+ years of no visible sunspots at all.
Previous solar cycles have maximum at an average sunspot levels of 150-175 spots per day. Thus far, solar cycle 24 will have a rolling average maximum of about 50. Since aurora's and radiowave activity is proportional to sunspot levels, solar cycle 24 has been disappointing in both.
This wasn’t simply a case of mispronunciation-the student’s paper was referencing an article about an unconventional queen Eleanor sometimes wearing a “turban” on her head when dining with guests.
The clueless student quoted the sentence verbatim, but referrered to the queen’s headgear as a “turbine”, which sent most of the class into mocking laughter, including my daughter. She said the professor actually made a whining sound and banged his head on his desk, which made everyone laugh louder.
Julian in Wales says: July 15, 2013 at 12:16 pmhttp://wattsupwiththat.com/2008/06/02/livingston-and-penn-paper-sunspots-may-vanish-by-2015/I do not understand why cycle 25 is projected to be so low. Such a weak cycle seems to be out of line with anything from the historical record, so how has this projection been arrived at?
Try this WUWT-article from 2008 for an explanation: Livingston and Penn paper: Sunspots may vanish by 2015″.
