I pay $273.05 per pay period (twice per month) for my health insurance. That works out to $546.10 per month and $6553.20 per year. This is a mid level plan for my family of four. In addition, I paid $2243.52 last year into Medicare.

You are obviously getting subsidized health care, yet you bitch about how much you pay and about people who point out that you are getting a huge assist.

Think about it. I paid MORE for Medicare that you do, the difference being that you get coverage and all I get is a bill.

I wish I could feel your pain, but my pain is so much greater that it makes yours seem like a scratch.

Like most of the people on this thread you are in over your head. When you learn to read, read the post again and you will see that I have signed my Medicare benefits over to a private insurance company. When they start losing money I presume they will quit the business - and if I am left without health insurance so be it! I said nothing complaining about my payments - I said I resent being told I am getting it for free.
