Interesting, if he was still around Zippy and Holder would be in jail by now.

Hoover had a lot in his personal life that he wanted to keep hidden, so his files were an "insurance policy" so that he could keep his job.

Really, how many civil servants are still on the job at 77?

And no, he was not a drag queen. Gay? Maybe. Asexual? That's my guess.

But Hoover had the dignity to order that all of his files be burned upon his death.

As curious as I am about what he kept in his private stash, I think it was for the better.
