Hi, Vision. We’re back and all moved in. What a tiring week! It’s been raining for three or four days now. We’ve had close to five inches.
How are things with you?
It's good here. It's sunny, hot, the Orioles beat the Yankee's today. Smoked pulled pork yesterday which turned out well.
I'm starting a new job Tuesday so life is good.
Congratulations on your new job, Vision! That’s great news. I hope you like it a lot.
We’re all in the house, but so much stuff is still packed and in disarray. Lots of work yet to do. But, we’re here, and it’s a nice upgrade. Our cats have done really well with the move, too.
“Lifeboat” was a 1944 Alfred Hitchcock picture starring William Bendix and Tallulah Bankhead. Here’s a synopsis of it and a list of the other actors: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lifeboat_(film)
Vision, I didn’t write back earlier, because we had to run over to a friend’s house whose husband just died on Friday. So, I wrote my first comment, left, and came back an hour later.
Thanks, Vision. Bless his heart; he was only 68 but had destroyed lungs. He lingered very sick for a couple of years in and out of the hospital. His wife is about at the end of her endurance taking care of him all this time. They were some of our next door neighbors at the place we just left. They’re dear friends.
I half tuned out with Ozzie and Harriet, but I’ll pick back up listening. I hear the laughter.
By the way, “Lifeboat” is a really good picture. If you ever see it come up on the movie classics channel, you should do that one on your old movie ping list.
Bing Ping.
Goodnight, Vision. Break a leg on your new job! :-)
