Why does Barbie have to look real? When I was a kid, I never gave a single thought to her proportions, nor did any of the other little girls. We just loved dressing her up.
if every guy wants barbie, supposedly, then why not chide women for wanting a guy that looks like ken, but anatomically correct?

But eventually she ends up naked, being twirled around by her hair. My now teenaged kids confirmed my theory.
if they ever saw clothes again it was surly when i wasn't around, and it seemed there were always at least six of them draped over the hand rail in the shower drying out
to this day i don't know how many they had, musta been at least three or four each so i guess some of them prolly had clothes on, just not the ones in the bathroom
those were the days...
I've never seen any doll or cartoon character that was a perfectly scaled human, yet Barbie drives the Left nuts.
My daughter hated Barbie. But then, I was never interested in dolls either. Much too active, each of us in our own ways. One step-granddaughter liked dolls, the other did not. And so it goes.
Anyway, if they wanted to make realistic dolls, they should look overweight.
