As a mother who has lost a child, I can say that it's something one never gets over.

I'm surprised, though, that as a mother she got ovarian cancer. It usually strikes women who have never had children.

My dear friend in high school died in the early ‘70s at age 29 of ovarian cancer. She left a 3 year old and an 8 month old. Doctors thought it might have started during pregnancy.
