Stevie, you have any input on this?
I believe this to be true...I have shot a McMillan (Big Mac) back in the day out to 1800+ yards, and gotten hits...
With the equipment available today to the civilian market, 2000+ yard shots are absolutely attainable...You just have to get it setup...Like they said, very few places available to do this at, unless you have some private property or friends with enough room for you to do it in...
The BORS system does give you the ability to get a “cold bore” shot on target a little easier...That’s why I bought it...I have about the same setup on my BMG...
The only thing you really need to think about is still a basic skill you need to input on your shot, making the right “wind call” is critical as well...
A lot of things can happen to a shot, even a 600+ gr bullet can get off to a bad start if you don’t pay attention to that breeze!!!
Just my dos centavos...;-)
Ohhhh, the only place I know of right now that can accommodate a lot of these long range shots is the Whittington Center out there in New Mexico...
And that is, in my mind a pleasant road trip, IMO...hehehe
Camp Perry I believe has a few lanes with some 1000+ berms on it...But I have not had the privilege of shooting there yet...I stand to be corrected...
