Most low cost rifles will do very well out to 60 yards. The better rifles will go all the way out to 200 yards with the right ammo.

I’ve got an $80 Savage Arms bolt action with hard sights. Beginners (kids) can hit my spinner targets at fifty yards. I think they range from 2-3 inches.
I’m sure accuracy tapers off at some point...if for no other reason there’s some drop...but its pretty good at fifty.

They will all “go” out to 250 yards. The question is will they go where you want them to.
I used to do a lot of metallic silhouette shooting with .22 LR’s and tested every type and brand of ammo I could get my hands on for accuracy at 25 yard increments out to 250 yards.
I concluded that some ammo had huge differences in shot to shot velocity and others were highly consistent. I also concluded that what shoots incredibly well in one rifle will not do as well in another nearly identical one.
