All depends upon what you’re going to be doing with it. For basic ease you can’t beat the solar powered g-shock with an atomic clock signal receiver so the time is always right.
But there are lots of good models out there that also do fun things from Casio. Thermometer. Altimeter. Cool stuff.
Also depends upon your budget. Lots of military guys like Suunto.

I got issued a Suunto (don't know why the government issues a watch) and it was a piece of sh$t. The batteries only lasted a year and then the whole thing pooped out after three years. It was a $300 watch. I'm a pilot and the thing didn't even have a second time zone. With that $300 my agency could have bought me a nice body armor carrier instead of the crap they purchased.

My current daily work watch is a Casio G shock model 2688.

Cons: It has some funky dials that are kind of useless. As a result some of the numbers on the display are a bit small if you are getting to the point where you need reading glasses.

Pros: Multiple time zones, decent alarm setup, NVG compatible backlighting, solar powered, auto-updates the time via radio signal every night. You never need to time hack this watch. $68 on Amazon.
