If done right (like that’s ever going to happen), it could be good. The original was done the way it was because the director had almost no money in the budget.

A “Terminator” with a non-distinctive actor might be interesting, as it could allow for a much more tense scenario. Arnie was, face it, pretty distinctive. No way you could miss him in a crowd, but someone a la Robert Patrick could be way creepier. Maybe Crispin Glover as the new terminator?

And, I’d be interested to see if they reboot “Predator” with one of its original ideas, that the “monster” was actually an escaped military experiment (either robotic or engineered-human) that the main characters’ team is tricked into hunting and destroying.

Predator was a brilliant franchise, woefully underutilized. Classic sci-fi antagonist which could be dropped into any scenario with any characters at any budget and create a money-printing action flick. Nothing “great”, but gobs of fun. Pity the premise was used so little.
