He shot the cocker because the owners might have sued had he shot them and they survived.

They have not been given the right to shoot you using this criteria, YET!Wrong. They already hăve a nearly unlimited right to shoot anyone any place. All that is required to validate that right is to repeat the line, "I felt threatened."

What if you are dressed in a dog suit and the cops happen upon you? Let's say, this one.Dog suit or suit and die, it does not matter. "I felt threatened." The most ominous warning that an officer can give to a subject is,"I feel you are a threat to me."

the two say they have received no explanation from police about why officers were in their yard. We have an electric fence for the cattle. Spend about $200 and you will have one that will knock any policeman on his tail. I'm betting few of them are country boys who would know how to get into one without a shock. Run it around the top of your yard fence and nobody is climbing over.

Police don’t shoot cats often. SOP is to stomp them.

Heheh.
You can't stomp a cat...they will simply run away.
You are confusing cats with dogs. Dogs are sweet but stupid...cats aren't stupid.

Wrong. They already hăve a nearly unlimited right to shoot anyone any place. All that is required to validate that right is to repeat the line, "I felt threatened." Society is filled to the brim with potential Ted Bundy's who just need a reason to cross over the line.
A dead pet in the back yard might be such a reason.
Now where can they find an old VW?;-)

Some years ago there were several incidents of cops stomping kittens to death in the course of raids. It was the female officerettes that like to stomp.

BTW, I appreciate your having enough respect for my love of the truth to tell me that.
I would rather hear the truth than be flattered with lies.
I now know you are the same.
Let's go kick some grammatical @ss.;-)

Anyone who feels threatened by a Cocker Spaniel should not be in the police business.
To: Morgana
They should going after their badges, not an apology.

Be cautious about calling an ambulance, cops often show up too.

And here I was trying to give him a solid legal defense should The Boy make his feelings about dog-shooting government thugs evident.
Unappreciated, I am. :)
