Charleton Heston was amazing, especially since much of the movie was soliloquy. That film is the king of the B-movies, IMO. It's hard to argue against any flick that features a BAR with a starlight scope. ;-)

The book is worthwhile, too - about $7 for the Kindle edition.

Indeed. Hard to keep the gun oil off of the ruffly Victorian cuffs, though. :-)
I do wish they'd skipped the "Blaxploitation" stuff, which dates the film more than the '70s clothes and hairstyles.
