President Vladimir Putins decision to allow Edward Snowden to land in Russia will have serious consequences for U.S.-Russian relations, Sen. Charles E. Schumer said Sunday.
Mr. Schumer, New York Democrat, said on CNN that the Russian involvement in the Snowden case, coming as the former national security worker arrived in Moscow on Sunday from Hong Kong, was not the action of an ally.
The bottom line is very simple: Allies are supposed to treat each other in decent ways, and Putin always seems almost eager to put a finger in the eye of the United States, whether it is Syria, Iran and now of course with Snowden, Mr. Schumer said. Thats not how allies should treat each other, and I think it will have serious consequences for the United States-Russia relationship.

My foot.... We have almost no clout on the international stage anymore. We won’t even defend our own diplomats and embassies. We grovel before the Taliban, North Koreans, Russians and Iranians. The Russians and Iranians want victory in Syria while Kerry wants a “negotiated solution.” Welcome to another dimension of O’s “fundamental transformation.”
I wasn't aware that the United States was allied with Russia.
I'd say 6/16/2001, when Dubya said, "I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straight forward and trustworthy and we had a very good dialogue. I was able to get a sense of his soul."
I view the dilemma of who to trust in these terms: I'm swimming in a river of urine and someone throws a bucket of pus at me. Should I duck?
We should start a list of potential consequences:
1. No winter solstice greeting card from Chuckie this year.
2. No invitation to Obama’s third inauguration
3. Next time they meet, Obama will only bow halfway.
4. One more misstep and Obama will have to push the reset button again.
5.) Obama will unfriend Putin on facebook
6.) Obama will have Putin called a racist repeatedly
7.) Obama won’t let our astronauts ride along on Russian rockets anymore.
8.) Obama will continue to not build the ballistic missile shield in Poland
9.) Obama will show Putin that he remains as flexible as any spineless jellyfish with regards to reducing our nuclear stockpile
9.) Obama will fly to Russia and personally kill Vladmir Putin just like he did to Osama Bin Laden
