He may not be a hero to some, but he certainly was inspiring as he prayed and praised God. I honestly did not think he would make it and believe that God was walking with him, keeping him steady and safe. jmho

I saw it! It seemed like forever watching him walk so slowly and carefully and I kept thinking what discipline and skill it took to do that!
I agree. How many hungry bellies were filled by this act? How many people now have a place to live because of this act? How was the Gospel of Jesus spread exactly, by walking without a safety net across the Grand Canyon?
Granted, this guy has guts, but it’s crazy guts in my book. Navy SEALs, Army Rangers and Green Beret and many others have guts, but their life risking endevors actually lead to saving people’s lives or punishing evil doers. This guys crazy guts primarily puts the spot light on him and saves nobody, that I can see.
I will give him kudos for not being ashamed to praise Jesus, though, through his crazy stunt.

This song is primarily based on the tragic 1978 death of Karl Wallenda, matriarch of “The Great Wallendas” aerial high wire act. The Wallenda act was noted for not using safety nets. On March 22, 1978, at age 73, Wallenda attempted a walk on a high wire between the two towers of the ten-story Condado Plaza Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The wire was 121 ft (37 meters) above the pavement. Wallenda fell to his death when winds exceeded 30 mph (48 kilometers per hour). He was known as “Poppy” to his multi-generational family of daredevil high wire performers who were present.
I watched an interview with his mom before,and when asked what she said to him when he told her what he wanted to do, she said something like, ‘you go for it! follow your dreams’.
You’re right, “struggleing with life and death everyday” is not what God intended and I was proud of this mom for what she said to her son.
