Chelsea Clinton No Longer Vegetarian, Never a Vegan 13 Comments 2 BY MICHAEL DESTRIES JUNE 19, 2013 CATEGORIES: EATS, HEALTHY LIVING, VEGAN TAGS: CHELSEA CLINTON.
After 18 years of vegetarian living a lifestyle that helped in part to inspire her dad President Bill Clinton to drop meat Chelsea Clinton has revealed that shes given it up. Actually, she surprisingly hasnt been one for years.
In an article for NBCs Rock Center, the 33-year-old details what inspired her at an early age to make ethical choices and adopt a diet that was friendly towards animals.
One spring day in my sixth grade Life Sciences class at Booker Arts Magnet Elementary School in Little Rock, Arkansas, we read two articles, she writes. The first concerned the cruelty toward cattle in slaughterhouses and the second was about the detrimental effects of red meat on your body. By the time I got home later that day, I had resolved to give up red meat, to take a stand against animal cruelty and a stand for my health (it seemed rather simple to my 11-year-old self).
Sharing that she now eats meat (which is interesting considering the setup above), Clinton goes on to say that she has tremendous respect for people who make consistent ethical choices in their lives people who not only dont eat meat, but who also dont wear fur or leather and dont use products made from animal derivatives. In particular, she singles out Stella McCartney and her ethical fashion label as one example deserving of praise.
Digging back a bit, I found an April interview Chelsea did with Free Republic Parade Magazine that revealed shes been mixing in the meat since age 29.
Free Republic: Rumor has it youre a vegan. True?
Chelsea: I was never a vegan. I gave up red meat when I was 11 because in my seventh-grade life science class, we read two articles about red meat, and I think probably I needed to be a little zealous about something. I gave up all meat when I was 13. Then when I was 29, I woke up one day and craved red meat. My husband, who is an inveterate carnivore, was thrilled. My father is quite famously a vegan, and I am thrilled by that.
So now you know. Cross one Clinton off the veg list.
Call me when she no longer takes air.
You mean she really is vegetarian and claims she isn’t? Not sure why she would do that.
Neo-pagan as expected. I love hearing celebrities talk about how ethical their belief system is.
I wonder how she feels about the ethics of ripping human beings out of the womb in sacrifice to Moloch. (rhetorical question)
Self-absorbed, long-winded, preachy twit.
LOL!!
Didn't know, don't care.
Well, I do care. Another, yet not unexpected, liberal hypocrite of the "Do as I say what I was told to think and say, not as I do" school of cultural marxist indoctrination getting a broad platform for no real or legitimate reason.
Liberals will kill a baby in their own womb, then that afternoon fly around the world in a private jet to protest the death of animals.
It really is some sort of mental illness.
It really is some sort of mental illness.
Precisely.
But it's more than that: it's an elevation of man to the level of God and deciding what is more worthy of life.
“What has two thumbs and doesn’t give a crap?”
Yeah? But she's still on my way over played, over paid list. If her last name was llevrok, she couldn't get a job as a bagger at Safeway.
Personally, I’m a Vegetationarian.
I carefully follow this eating plan:
I eat vegetation
I eat things that eat vegetation
I eat things that eat things that eat vegetation
and I eat the nutritional by-products of the above.
It takes ethical and moral clarity, but I am doing well.
She’s got to get her body “pantsuit-friendly” for future political campaigns.
Neither does a hippopotamus (sp?).
I don’t know if you spelled it right, but I know I want one for Christmas!!
Her mom is a vagitarian, or so I’ve heard....
Bill is a Vagitarian.
And a vulgarian.
Did horse face convert?
I don’t see her as particularly a devout Christian.....which like a devout Jew
Is unlikely to convert and deny their faith
Just to suit in laws
Frankly a devout Christian or Jew are not a good match together in marriage
If progeny......
I have seen enough battles between Catholic and Baptists over spawn rights
Ovo-lacto vagitarian, to be precise.
Holy crap!!! That is terrible.
And hilarious at the same time.
Does she like cigars? Or wieners?
