TRENTON Gov. Chris Christie has ordered all state buildings to fly flags at half staff Monday to honor the late actor James Gandolfini.
Christies resolution says the New Jersey native, who died Wednesday while on vacation in Italy, was an iconic actor, who left a timeless impact upon television and film in the State of New Jersey and across our Nation.

Oh! The articles I read kind of left that out...
Saw a clip of him on Inside the Actors Studio.
Host asks him, When you appear at the Pearly Gates, what would you like to hear God say?
JG thinks for a moment, smiles and replies, Take over for a while, Ill be right back.
It is becoming meaningless. The once revered act of flying the flag at half staff for someone that rated it, has become a joke. Part of the “plan”. There are those that continue to degrade once sacred rituals and turn them into nothingness. I just pray that when Lil Wayne dies, he won’t be accorded the same observance. The way he disrespected the flag makes him ineligible for that rite. It’s like the Nobel Peace Prize. It officially became worthless when Obama was given one just because he MIGHT do something to earn it. What a crock!
You can google a list of executive orders issued by New Jersey Governors. Christie has ordered flags to fly at half-mast numerous times in honor of New Jersey soldiers, sailors, marines, and police who died in the line of duty, as well as deceased politicians, and victims of terror attacks and disasters.
An actor who portrayed a role on TV is never a reason to fly flags at half staff. Ever.
